Treatment Safety & Side Effects
At Cellinique, every treatment starts with a review of your medical history, medications, allergies, and pregnancy or breastfeeding status. This page provides general safety guidance. Whether a procedure is appropriate for you is decided in a direct consultation with Dr. Kim Gun-woo.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Which symptoms mean I should contact the clinic right away after treatment?
Please contact Cellinique right away at 02-6203-3434 if you develop severe swelling, heat, redness, persistent pain, or sensory changes at the treatment site. The same applies if you suspect an allergic reaction such as hives or shortness of breath, or notice abnormal skin changes. Outside office hours, you may also leave a message through the KakaoTalk channel, and we will guide you on whether emergency-room care is needed.
Q. Do I need to stop any medications before treatment?
Some medications, including anticoagulants, immunosuppressants, certain antibiotics, and steroids, may need to be reviewed depending on the treatment. Please do not stop medication on your own. Tell us about every prescription, supplement, and over-the-counter product you take so Dr. Kim Gun-woo can guide both suitability and medication management.
Q. Are any procedures possible during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Most anti-aging, lifting, and skin-booster procedures are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. At Cellinique, we review pregnancy and breastfeeding status during consultation and do not proceed with treatments whose safety has not been established. We can help you plan a safer timing after delivery or the end of breastfeeding.
Q. Can I still have treatment if I have allergies?
It depends on the type and severity of the allergy. If you have a history of allergy to lidocaine, anesthetics, sutures, or contrast agents, please tell us during consultation. When needed, we may review patch testing or alternative anesthesia options. A severe allergy history may make some procedures inadvisable.
Q. What should I do in an emergency?
If you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, reduced consciousness, a high fever above 39°C, or suspected tissue compromise after a procedure, call 119 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately. Once you are safe, you may contact Cellinique. During office hours, you may also call us directly at 02-6203-3434.
Q. When should I come back for follow-up?
Timing depends on the treatment, but in general we recommend an initial check within one week and a follow-up within one month. At Cellinique, Dr. Kim Gun-woo oversees consultation, treatment, and follow-up continuity. If you have an unusual reaction, contact us right away rather than waiting for the scheduled visit.
Q. Can I have treatment if I have a keloid tendency?
A keloid tendency can lead to exaggerated scarring during healing, so some procedures—especially those that create micro-injury in the skin—may not be recommended. We review your scar history and recovery pattern during consultation before deciding whether treatment is appropriate. Please mention it in advance if you think you may be prone to keloids.
