GOURI vs Profhilo vs Re2O: Ingredients, Sessions, Downtime

GOURI, Profhilo, and Re2O differ by what goes into the syringe. GOURI is liquid polycaprolactone (PCL) dissolved in water, Profhilo is a high concentration of hyaluronic acid, and Re2O is finely milled dermis from donated skin after the cells are removed.

What does each syringe put into the skin?

GOURI’s PCL is a polymer also used in sutures. It is dissolved in water with no particles and spreads across the face. On the manufacturer’s directions, it stimulates the cells that make collagen as it breaks down, and the layer is the dermis or subdermis. This liquid behaves differently from a particle filler that builds volume in one spot.

Profhilo binds two lengths of hyaluronic acid with heat and stabilizes them with no chemical crosslinker. At cell level, collagen and elastin signals rise. Q1. Does the injection hurt?

All three use a needle. Profhilo’s reactions include a light pinching sensation. When Re2O is mixed with hyaluronic acid, an anesthetic goes in with it.

GOURI shares the day with botulinum and a non-cross-linked skin booster. People in the Re2O human trial had no facial filler, botulinum, or laser for 12 months.

GOURI has cases of bruising that lasted months at the under-eye, the puncture point, and the upper arm, and later care cleared them. Shortness of breath, a widespread rash, or severe itching means immediate care. Profhilo’s bruising and small bump usually settle within 72 hours. The Re2O trial left out people who were breastfeeding and people who had used an anticoagulant in the 2 weeks before screening, and the reactions in the remaining group were temporary redness and mild swelling.
